About Rust Zerg Life
We read the public Rust server list every five minutes, then query each server for its own settings.
The in-game browser is a bad way to pick a server for a clan. You see a name and a player count, then find out the team limit is four after you have moved fifteen people in.
Rust Zerg Life fixes that. We pull Steam's public Rust server list, including names, live player counts, queues and published tags, then query each server directly for map seed, FPS and entity count. Not every server answers the direct query, so some entries show only what Steam publishes.
From those sources we keep player counts, wipe timing, ranks and history for every public server. That means you can filter by team limit, check population before your squad commits, and find a wipe worth bringing the whole group to. If a server caps teams at four, we say so. If it is a solo or duo server, we name it that, because it is not a clan server and we will not pretend otherwise. Lists are ordered by player count, never by payment.
Ranks use players over the past week, hour by hour. A server that holds a population every night ranks above one that spikes once after a wipe and dies. Wipe schedules, force wipes and just-wiped servers are tracked alongside the rest.
Rust Zerg Life is independent and built by Rust players. We are not affiliated with Facepunch Studios and nothing here is endorsed by them. Server names, descriptions and images belong to the people who run those servers. Everything shown comes from what servers publish about themselves. If something about your server looks wrong, the fix is usually in your own settings, and changes appear within about five minutes. If it still looks wrong, write to hello@rustzerglife.world.
Questions
Q-01How often does Rust Zerg Life update server data?
We read the Steam public server list and query each server every five minutes. Player counts, queues, wipes and rankings refresh on that cycle. A change you make to your server's settings should appear within about five minutes.
Q-02Can I find servers with no team limit or a large one?
Yes. Team limit is one of the settings we track, so you can filter for no limit or a large cap rather than guessing from a server name. Servers that cap teams at four or lower are listed as they are, so a clan does not waste a wipe moving in. Solo and duo servers are named for exactly who they suit.
Q-03Is Rust Zerg Life affiliated with Facepunch?
No. The site is independent and built by Rust players, and it is not affiliated with Facepunch Studios. Nothing on the site is endorsed by them. Server names, descriptions and images remain the property of the people who run those servers.
